Being in love, letting yourself fall into the dreams and fantasies you’ve created about someone in your mind, is something entirely different from truly loving someone, accepting them just as they are, and bringing out the best in them. True love requires familiarity and unvarnished reality. Infatuation is just the narrow, pristine beach before the vast ocean. Those who focus only on the white sand have no idea of the immense beauty of the sea and miss the tide leading into the vast land of love.
